James E. Vandersloot is a trial attorney with significant experience representing injured workers, including union members, in disability claims and third party personal injury claims. Mr. Vandersloot appears before the California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board and the U.S. Department of Labor in federal claims concerning the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act. He also represents clients in California Public Employees' Retirement System and County Disability Retirement applications. Mr. Vandersloot is certified in workers' compensation law by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Vandersloot regularly lectures on workers' compensation to labor union members, attorneys, and insurance representatives. He also serves as a Judge Pro Tem at the Walnut Creek Office of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.
